The My Passport Essential USB Drives feature a beautiful glossy black finish and incorporate practically a third of a terabyte of digital storage in a body that weighs in at only 5 ounces. They are bus powered and do not need an external power adapter. The latest WD drives includes sync and encryption software (Windows-compatible only). With the Sync software, users can take desktop content with them by simplifying the synchronization of important personal files and Microsoft Outlook data on a PC. In case owners misplace the drive, they are ensured with the fact that their data is protected with 128-bit encryption. The Google software on the drive enables users to quickly locate files with the Google Desktop Search tool, manage photos with Picasa photo organizer software and simplify internet searches with the Google Toolbar search bar.

The retail price is Rs 9,500 for WD Passport Essential USB Drive 320 GB, Rs 6,800 for WD Passport Essential USB Drive 250 GB, Rs 4,700 for WD Passport Essential USB Drive 160 GB and Rs 4,200 for WD Passport Essential USB Drive 120 GB.
